Massage treatments can be very beneficial for managing stress and anxiety, reducing muscle tension, and supporting your body through the unique changes that are happening throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Come and enjoy a relaxing, pampering, soothing massage, lying on our special Pregnancy Pillows. It's such a relief to be able to lie on your tummy, even for a short while! Of course, the options of lying on your side or your back are also available.

I have a passion for women's health and I am honoured to be a part of women's journeys throughout parenthood and beyond. I will do my best to use my skills and knowledge to support your wellbeing. To listen to your thoughts and ideas and create a place of rest, rejuvenation and learning.
I have spent over two hundred hours studying pregnancy and postpartum in continuing education classes. I have also been honoured to provide massage for mothers with high risk pregnancies at BC women's hospital and many other pregnant and postpartum clients and their families. Separate from my Massage Therapy I am also a Birth Doula.
I work on Wednesday and Friday here at Mothering Touch. I am a Registered Massage Therapist and treatments can be claimed through extended medical insurance programs. If you would like to learn more about me and my approach feel free to email me at kylawhitermt@gmail.com

COVID-19 - Return to Practice Protocols - or "How are we going to keep each other safe during the pandemic?"
Kyla and Roxoliana have painstakingly put together common protocols, in line with the recommendations of the College of Massage Therapists of BC. We encourage you to read through them before your next appointment. You can find them here.
Massage during pregnancy can help with:
- Lack of energy
- Pain and discomfort
- Fatigue
- Swollen extremities
- Backache
- Leg cramps
Treatment Cancellation Policy: Our on-line booking system requires 48-hours notice for cancellation. If you need to cancel or re-schedule with less than 48-hours notice, please phone us. We will be happy to help. The full fee will be due for any appointment cancelled with less than 48-hours notice.
We are very aware that pregnancy and new parenthood make life unpredictable. We will make every effort to "forgive" a late cancellation if you or your baby are ill or you are in labour!

Many extended health insurance providers offer coverage for massage. If you have coverage, we can place a claim directly , online, through Telus eClaims or Pacific Blue Cross. Or we can give you a receipt for each treatment which you can then send on to the insurance provider for appropriate reimbursement. Some plans will require that you have a prescription for massage from your doctor or midwife.
