Strength and Stretch for the Postpartum Body
The focus of Drop-In Postnatal Strength and Stretch is to develop overall body strength and stability, as well as stretching and lengthening out from sore stiff muscles, back and shoulders. Barre and Pilates influences will be evident. There will be some impact exercises, but everything is modifiable and adjustable.
At the end of each class, we will have a time of deep relaxation, tuning in to breath awareness to help calm the mind and bring us in tune with our babies.
Mobile and non-mobile babies are equally welcome!
Renée Ahmadi is a Birth Doula and Yoga and Fitness instructor. She has a degree from UVIC in Child and Youth Care. Renée’s last fifteen years of work experience have been about supporting families at every stage of life, from working with young children and youth to adults with unique needs. She is passionate about the meaning of truly inclusive movement and for every body.
Renée is mother to Ezra and Arya. When she is relaxing she can be found in her garden with her children grazing nearby.

Our Drop-In Classes are $16 each, or $13 if you buy a punch card of 10 classes. Punch cards never expire, so you can use the classes left over from your pregnancy for parent-baby classes. Punch cards are non-refundable, but fully transferable, so you can gift or sell your left-over classes to someone else if you need to.
