Childbirth Preparation : For Doctors’ Patients

Our group prenatal classes for doctors' patients provide a comfortable and friendly atmosphere where parents-to-be can meet to collect and discuss information and prepare themselves for the journey ahead.  Our courses are designed and taught by trained and experienced childbirth educators who are also doulas and breastfeeding counselors.

Registration Information:

Below is a list of our scheduled classes.  All of these classes follow the same course outline, just on different schedules.  

Which format to choose? You should choose the format you prefer based on your availability, your learning style and the time of day when you feel best able to learn.

Which date to choose?  It is best to register for a class that begins after your 28th week of pregnancy and ends before your 38th week.  You should register for your prenatal class as soon as possible as dates fill up quickly.  If you have any difficulties selecting a class that fits with your dates, please contact us.

Two Full Saturdays

from 9:30am to 4:30pm 

(Please Note: Beginning in January 2021, Saturday Classes will run on FOUR successive Saturdays from 9:30-12:30)

The 2-Saturday workshop allows expectant parents to immerse themselves in the topic of birth in an intense format.  This format is suited to parents who are busy in the evenings, who are out of town frequently or who cannot take the classes until late in pregnancy.

Sunday Afternoons

Four Sunday Afternoons

from 3:00pm to 6:00pm

The 4-Sunday series is intended for parents who may have limited time to prepare for the arrival of their child, but who work on Saturdays.  Some parents told us they wanted to come during the day - but not for the whole day - so we came up with this compromise!

Fee:  $195 +GST for Pregnant Parent & Birth Helper

Tuesday Evenings

Six Tuesday Evenings

from 7:00pm to 9:00pm

In the weeknight series of classes, the same group meets for six weeks in a row.  This enables participants to get to know each other and provide each other with support through the last weeks of their pregnancies.
