Drop-in Fun in French

Sing & Play En Français!

Fun in French is all about exposing your child to French in a fun and casual way. Songs, stories, movement and games will give you and your child words, phrases and sounds which will make you both feel more at home in French.

Eva Bild is excited to be reaching back into her past as a language teacher and daycare worker to facilitate this class. Eva speaks French fluently and loves to sing. She is looking forward to sharing her love of the French language and kiddy-culture with parents and babies!

Many parents and caregivers come to Fun in French to refresh their French or start learning in a context relevant to them and their child. Some of the parents have not spoken French since the days when they were in Immersion themselves. Other parents and caregivers are francophones who want to provide their children with extra activities en français! And some of our most enthusiastic participants have never had any exposure to French themselves, but want to make sure their child does!

In our weekly drop-in group Fun in French, we sing and dance to songs and rhymes introducing and reinforcing vocabulary. A different topic is covered each week, including animals, body parts and clothes, colours, food etc. Vocabulary games and activities introduce the session’s new words in a fun way. Each group ends with une histoire (a story) and une berceuse (a lullaby).

Everyone is welcome and no prior knowledge of French is necessary!

Fun in French is currently on a break and not scheduled to run again this season.

Our Drop-In Classes are $15 each, or $12 if you buy a punch card of 10 classes. Punch cards never expire, so you can use the classes left over from your pregnancy for mommy-baby classes. Punch cards are non-refundable, but fully transferable, so you can gift or sell your left-over classes to someone else if you need to. Do call us if you have any questions about our Punch Card Program.
