We have been busily preparing our new Fall schedule which starts on September 6th and we are very excited about the return of favourite classes and the start of some new exciting ones!
We will have more drop-in classes for babies and toddlers and their caregivers than ever before! Including Songs and Rhymes, Fun in French, Toddler Yoga, Sign and Sing, Baby Massage. Of course we will also have Mom and Baby Yoga twice a week as well as Mom and Baby Strength and Stretch. Family Yoga will also join our list of new classes – all ages and family members are welcome at this one!
Drop-in classes are as flexible as they have always been! Come when you can, no registration is required. And you can save money by buying a punch card. Ask us about this when you are here.
This Fall we are also offering two registered classes for new mothers. On Monday mornings Joss Hurtig-Mitchell facilitates Motherhood Circle which focuses on the development and adjustment of the mother and on her wellbeing and her relationships. On Wednesday mornings Sarah Nakatsuka offers a program called Listening Mothers, a class focusing on relationship and bonding between mother & baby, the emotional development of baby, and how to incorporate mindfulness and self-compassion into motherhood. Moms can take one or both of these and both classes may be covered by your extended medical plan so check your coverage!
Also returning is the registered workshop Becoming a Dad for new and expectant fathers. It is led by Clinical Counsellor and Father, Dimitri de Morea and runs every other month, the first one this Fall is October 27th.
The Grandparents’ Workshop is back too! First class scheduled for September 9th. This class is for Grandparents to learn up-to-date information regarding baby-care, car seats, breastfeeding, sleep and also examines the changing relationship with your children who are becoming parents.
We have a reflexology workshop for pregnant women and their partners called Happy Feet on September 29th! Learn about the many benefits of reflexology like how to reduce stress and ease pregnancy symptoms, as well as how to get labour started.
