Vanessa Ritchie and Barbie Desormeaux, two of the Vancouver Island car Seat Techs, spent last Sunday in the parking lot across the street from Mothering Touch checking car seats for families. They worked cheerfully and patiently, carefully and thoughtfully to make sure those babies and children were safe and comfortable. They also helped to ensure that the parents had peace of mind!
We are so impressed with how devoted the VICarSeatTechs are to the safety of our families! So we have arranged (with the help of Robbins Parking) to run a free car seat clinic each month during the summer.
The dates (all Sundays) are July 20, August 17, and September 21. Each clinic will take place (rain or shine) from 10am to 2pm in the parking lot next to Lunds (entrance off View Street.) if you would like to book an appointment, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org if you can’t plan so far in advance, try dropping in. Sometimes there are cancellation and the techs can see you on the spur of the moment. But remember that an appointment is needed to guarantee that you will be seen! Please clean out all extra stuff from your back seat, have your child present if possible, and bring both seat and vehicle manuals.
Of course, Mothering Touch will welcome you if you need to use the washrooms, change your baby or find a comfy spot to feed your baby. Please drop in!
